Why wish?

Each of us has something in common – we have had no power to determine where we started in life. If there is a moment of fate, it is at birth. But it’s that moment that can have the biggest of impacts on the rest of our lives.

For those born without a home, without loved ones, for those born on the streets without food or shelter, the most basic of needs are all that occupy their day to day lives right from the start. Luckily through charities and organisations some are able to have shelter, safety, some access to food, education. But the wishes of these children may not even be whispered, dared to be dreamed. Funding for their passions often feels like a wish completely out of reach, and as these wishes fade so do their dreams.

We know for a fact that though, that children irrespective of the start of their lives, when their wishes have been fulfilled have been able to scale the greatest of heights. Chhoti Si Aisha wants to turn the wishes of children true, so they can dare to dream the biggest of dreams.

Why we fullfill Chhoti Si Aisha’s

Chhoti Si Aisha has a deeply significant meaning to us as founders. During our various interactions with organisations and with underprivileged children, we realized that they all have wishes, that they often keep to themselves, feeling that even it those wishes are whispered they most likely won’t be fulfilled. What is taken as a given for the majority, is taken by these children as a god-sent, what is taken as basic for the majority is something that can light joy in these children’s hearts for days if not months.

We all want to chase our dreams but the challenges faced by the underprivileged are very different. The ability to wish only begins with the hope that these dreams could become reality, and for these children many lose this hope and with time their wishes and dreams fade.

Little wishes fire Big Dreams, so let’s catch the wishes as quickly as we can so their hope doesn’t run out. Let’s catch these dreams quickly, so the fire in their heart stays alight, and a chance at a better life. But remember as we catch their dreams, we also are able to live the best versions of ourselves.
